Activity Volunteer- York
Activity volunteers will organise activities for patients based around a chosen area of interest. This could be organising games, playing board games/card games, crafts, reading, singing, playing music, or simply having a conversation with patients.
For this role, the volunteer would be working with the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy Team or ward staff, providing support to individual patients in the Dementia and Elderly Care Wards and as part of a group activity.
Applicants who are successful at the interview stage of the process, will be required to provide proof of identity as outlined in the application form, along with a successful Disclosure and Barring Service check, Occupational Health check, an acceptable reference and complete mandatory online training modules.
