Activity Volunteer- Nelson's Court

Nelsons Court is one of our community inpatient units based off Tadcaster road in York. We provide holistic rehabilitation across 2 wards – Nelsons Court ward 1 (19 beds) and Nelsons Court ward 2 (20 beds). The individuals that transition to Nelsons Court from acute services are predominantly older adults who are experiencing short and/or long-term illnesses or injuries as well as social limitations which has meant they have not yet been able to return home following an acute admission.

As a Therapy Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting group sessions and working closely with our therapy teams to develop and deliver impactful activities for our patients.

Applicants who are successful at the interview stage of the process, will be required to provide proof of identity as outlined in the application form, along with a successful Disclosure and Barring Service check, Occupational Health check, an acceptable reference and complete mandatory online training modules.
